frequently asked questions

We will send out the Zoom link for the retreat on Tuesday, April 19. If you register after April 19, your automatic reply email (upon registering) will include the Zoom link and other important information. We will also send the Zoom link to all registrants on April 22, when the retreat begins, so that you have it easily accessible.

Nalandabodhi is an international Buddhist community offering the timeless wisdom and boundless compassion of the Buddha to inspire individuals and create kind communities in today’s world. We emphasize working with our minds and hearts through the teachings of the Buddha. In particular, we approach the dharma, the Buddha’s teachings, as a “science of mind” through the three paths of study, meditation, and mindful activity. In this way, we are invited to ask questions, explore, and experiment with the methods ourselves. Learn more about us—including our online offerings of study and practice—at www.nalandabodhi.org.

Written materials and other retreat-related resources will be available on our website — along with links to the recordings. All registrants will receive a link and password to that Participant Resources page closer to the event.

The teachings, contemplations and guided meditations are in English, and there are simultaneous translations available into Chinese, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.

When you register for the Online Retreat, you will get a confirmation message. The Zoom link for the retreat will be sent to you in a separate email on April 19, and again on April 22.

Registration for Be Wise, Go Kind: Competition, Success, and Failure will be open until May 1, 2022. So you will be able to register after the retreat happens and still enjoy the teachings from the event. The recordings from this retreat will be available through July 24, 2022.

We encourage you to follow the suggested schedule, including all the various parts of the Online Retreat. However, it is ultimately up to you when and which parts of the Online Retreat you do.

Yes! We’ll have more information about the process for submitting questions to Rinpoche as details become available. As you experience the retreat, please note down any questions that you might want to submit.

"I click on submit and it keeps scrolling me back up to the top of the page. I don't see any required spaces where I have not completed something."

It's easy to overlook a required field. Please double-check your entries. The two easiest entries to miss are "country" and the "consent" checkbox at the bottom. Look for a message just below the Bookings heading.

If you cancel your registration on or before Wednesday, April 20 (US PDT), you will receive a full refund. Please remember that even if you're not able to access the live event, your registration gives you access to recordings of the event through May 24, 2022. If you decide that you do need to cancel, please email help@nalandabodhi.org to request a refund. Refunds may take up to a week to process. After Wednesday, April 20, refunds will not be issued.

Yes. We’ll be using Zoom closed captioning, which simultaneously translates spoken English into written English text. If you wish to enable closed captioning, please click on Live Transcript in the toolbar at the bottom of your screen, and then select Show Subtitles. ‘Subtitle Settings’ allows you to expand the size of the captions on your screen.
