Our aspiration is for Be Wise Go Kind 2023: Awaken Awe to be an opportunity to deeply inquire into the nature of awe, going beyond hope and fear, and inviting you to make it a lifelong path. Throughout our series of six interconnected talks with authors, artists, actors, explorers, storytellers, and meditation teachers, plus a day-long experiential program, we will explore awakening awe as a journey traveled through listening, inquiry, contemplation, and practices.
In conversation with our guests, we will learn about their diverse connections with awe, while exposing similarities that might awaken curiosity about your own individual connection. To support that inquiry, we will provide a chance to create your personal Book of Awe and time for your questions, plus contemplations and practices that will look into:
– The nature of awe and its various qualities
– How to cultivate awe through practice and in our daily lives
– What gets in the way of experiencing awe
– What are pitfalls of grasping after experiences of awe
The six bi-weekly talks will be held on Thursdays at 5:30 pm PDT beginning August 3. Registration is flexible: sign up for the entire series, or for individual talks.
If you miss a live conversation, you can watch the session via the recordings, which will be available until December 14.
Please join us for this exciting journey of exploration!
